Bullas wants to know: is it humans who have animal characteristics or do animals have human ones? Whether it is his everyman, the Indian Runner duck, or any one of many other creatures he has wearing clothes, sipping wine, practicing professions, playing a game of sports, or caught up in duct tape, the animal kingdom has an unlimited supply of material for his human humor... especially the self-revealing variety. Given the humorous nature of his popular art, it surprises some to learn that Bullas is an award-winning watercolorist with classical training from the Brooks Institute of Fine Art in Santa Barbara, California, and honors from the National Watercolor Society and the American Watercolor Society. It also surprises some to learn that Bullas distinctive, delicate watercolors are achieved not with airbrushing, but with sponges, toothbrushes, and other manual techniques. Bullas art appears in limited edition fine art prints, porcelain, and Pearl Bisque collectibles and books, as well as his own line of high-quality notecards, clothing, watches, and more. |

Well, my work is about the small stuff. When you combine an image with one of the countless sayings or bits of jargon we are always using, you end up with a pretty funny package.
